This programs aim to provide a basic knowledge of nutrition and the role that nutrients play in a healthy lifestyle.
You will gain many practical insights into the major food groups and how shop for food with ‘open eyes’ once you know how to select and evaluate your food choices.
I guarantee that you’ll never look at food the same way again once you learn this information!
Weekly sessions means that your program will be concluded in 4 weeks and you will be ready to cook up a storm and shop until you drop for the best food ever.
Initial Consultation $160.00 (1hr)
Present medical history, past medical history, Medication, Supplements, Health Goals, Lifestyle, Diet overview, blood type & general info which is relevant to the health of the client.
Give questionnaires to complete.
Give 1 week of diet sheets to work on before detailed dietary assessment at next consult.
Conduct whichever tests are appropriate incl. BCT.
2nd Consultation Dietary Assessment $90 (45 mins)
In depth look at clients diet in the 1-2 weeks since initial consult.
Introduction to the proportion of macronutrients in diet (carbohydrates, proteins and fats).
Introduction to meal planning with respect to blood type, current health condition(s) and health goals.
Explanation of test results and supplements recommended.
Follow up consultation $90 (45 mins)
Review treatment plan with special emphasis on dietary aspects of treatment.
How to cook foods to preserve nutrients.
How to eat for good digestion.
How to combine foods for optimal absorption of nutrients.
How to identify the nutrients that foods contain.
Foods that are good for women’s and men’s health.
Monitor and adjust treatments as necessary.
Supermarket Shopping Tour $90
How to read food labels and ingredient panels.
Looking beyond the packaging to reveal the true story ie (low fat, high sugar etc.)
Understanding the importance of fiber and how to identify good carbs versus bad carbs, good fats versus bad fats, etc.
Explanation of gluten free, lactose free, low fat.
Examples of sugar in all its guises.
Examples of food additives ie preservatives, colors, flavors, msg, nitrates, etc.
